ABOUT US
The biggest key to deciding which class is best is allowing your child to be involved in the decision. The goal is to learn a little and enjoy the experience, initially, rather than to stress up the kid.
At Shivas Dance Academy, Guru Meena Sivakumar being a psychotherapist knows the pulse of the kid, understands that everything to them is new. She develops a rapport with the kid easily. She does work with you and your child to achieve success in bringing happy dancers into the classroom. This is a gradual process for some new dancers. Most of the time our little dancers come into the room right away and never look back.
Older students will come in and get started right away. Smt. Meena Siva kumar is always patient and treats each child with respect and kindness. We encourage parents to let their older dancers embrace their independence when it comes to their dance experience. Parents are always welcome to come stay and observe through the observation windows on a particular day. We do find that our older dancers seem to enjoy the freedom that comes with being a dancer and being in a dance class. Shivas academy is a safe, family environment and our current dance parents feel very comfortable dropping them off while they run errands or do other things if necessary.
